I could hardly believe my eyes when I read the news. Final scoreline: 7-1. AS Roma was out-passed, out-classed, out-thought and out-fought, and they are also out of the Champions League! Having lost to the Romans 2-1 six days ago, Man Utd still stand a chance of turning things around, but slotting 7 goals home is just unimaginable! Many of the goals scored were of the highest standard, especially those from Michael Carrick. The 2 goals more or less justified the 18.6 millions pounds price tag placed on him when Sir Alex paid Hotspurs for his service at the beginning of the 06/07 season. I just hope that he will continue scoring regularly for Man Utd like what he did in this match. Hopefully there will be more to come from him in the future!
